Howard Fay Parkes, 84, Clermont, FL passed away Thursday March 3, 2011 at his residence under the care of his wife, Jean, family and Cornerstone hospice. He was born February 6, 1927 in Alma, MI, son of Vernon Parkes & Pearl Gier Parkes. He served in the US Navy during WWII, was a retired mobile home manufacturer and a Florida resident since 1964. On June 30, 1989 he was united in marriage to Jean Fleming McDonald in Alma, MI. He attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and was a member of the American Legion, Masons and Shriners. Surviving is his former wife Marilyn ; children Scott (Cecilia) Parkes, Safety Harbor, FL; Luan (Ken) Coffman, Maitland, FL & David Parkes, Chicago, IL; Current wife Jean; step-children Stewart (Dorothy) McDonald, Alma, MI; A.J. (Judy) McDonald & Mollie (Wendell Waldron) McDonald-Waldron all of Windermere, FL; siblings Charles Parkes & Donna VanDerMark both of Alma, MI; Vernon (Elaine) Parkes, Baldwin, MI & Floyd (Eileen) Parkes, Clairmont, CA.
