Tatusiu, Dziadku and Kochany Henryku you might be gone but your memories will always live with us. We love you with all our hearts and we will always miss you. We know you are at peace, in heaven and our Lord is watching over you. We will be forever grateful and thankful for everything you did for us. You were the greatest husband, father, grandfather and father-in-law. We know you loved us very much and continue to love us in heaven.

Prayer for Henryk:

Dear heavenly Father,

There is a season and time for everything in this world. Today you have granted us a chance to celebrate the life of our loved one, Henryk Frik and we want to say thank you.

Even though we are finding it hard to accept what has happened, we know that everything works out together for good. Father, give us the peace that surpasses all understanding as we start this funeral program. Give us the strength to share the beautiful moments that we shared with Henryk our beloved departed.

We remember that death has been swallowed up in victory. We remember that death has lost its sting. We thank you, God, for giving us the victory through our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Thank you for sending your son Jesus to die on the cross to take away all the sins of this world for those who believe we are saved by grace through faith. We have peace and comfort knowing your truths that Henry was also able to receive Salvation and the gift of eternal life through his belief in you and what your son Jesus did on the cross for us.

Please help us remember to be steadfast and immovable in our faith, not fearing death, but rejoicing in our victory.

Father, we thank you for the mystery that is our confident expectation. We thank you that in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet, we will all be changed. We thank you that our temporary bodies will be clothed with eternal, immortal, glorified bodies. May we find comfort in this promise, even as we grieve the passing of our beloved from this life.

Though Henryk is not with us physically, we rejoice knowing that we will see Henryk again when we join you in your house, Lord.

Please fill us with divine strength, that we may be able to honor the life of our family member, Henryk.  Let your grace be upon us today that we may be able to support one another. Wrap your arms around us through this painful period and let your joy be our strength. In Jesus' name, we believe and pray.

Amen.
