Harold Elbert Croncich, Sr., age 94, affectionately known as "Mickey" of Minneola, passed away December 27, 2013 at the Mike Conley Hospice House. He was born November 2, 1919 in Biloxi, MS son of Ethal Mae Anglada & John Franklin Croncich. He served in the US Navy during WW2. A central Florida resident since 1953, he was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, was an usher there for 60 years, was a member of the Knights of Columbus and charter member of the local Elks Club. His first wife June Sullivan Croncich preceded him in death in 1988 as did his siblings Mildred Schroeder & Doris Penn. Surviving are his wife Joan Ryan Croncich; children Suzanne (Michael) Brown & Betty (Fred) Plummer all of Clermont & Harold (Cindy) Croncich, Jr., Navasota, TX; step-sons Roddy Michele, Ocala & Dan (Judy) Michele, Clermont; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren & sister Thelma Suponic, Sarasota.
Mass of the Resurrection for Mickey Croncich will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, December 30, 2013 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Clermont, FL celebrated by Reverend Roy Echo. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
