Guillermina Barajas Luna
(01/21/1969- 08/25/2021)
Guillermina "Guille" Barajas Luna , age 52, went home to our Lord Jesus Christ on August 25, 2021 while surrounded by her three daughters at Orlando Health South Lake Hospital, after losing her battle against COVID-19. She was born in Mexico but migrated to the U.S. about 30 years ago, where she then resided in Lake County, Florida since.
She is survived by her husband Hilario Barajas whom she married on March 13, 1993. They had five daughters who also survive her memory (Jesenia age 27, Carina age 26, Sandra Tatiana age 23, Anayeli age 20, Vanessa age 13) and one son (Saul Abraham age 11) along with two grandchildren (Nicolas age 5 and Alejandro age 4). Her maiden family also all survive, father (Benjamin Magaña Luna) and mother (Zenaida Luna), along with her brothers and sisters (Javier, Luis, Margarita, Alvaro, Heriberto, Benjamin, Juvencio and Alicia). She was a sweet and caring person beloved by many including her nephews, nieces, cousins, uncles, aunts and many friends made along her path in life. Forever will her memory live in our hearts.
Guille was a unique soul, willing to help anyone that surrounded her. She was a hard working women. You couldn't help but just watch and admire any type of work she performed. She didn't know how to relax, she always found something to do or someone to help. Such traits began as a child when she worked in Mexico helping her family with household chores and farm labor since the age of eight. When her family migrated to the United States they worked in the agricultural field. She worked with her parents and siblings as a migrant agricultural worker and continued in that field for years. Once she married she continued to work as an agricultural worker but specialized in Citrus fruit. Due to her health condition and family complications that needed her home more often, she then retired from the citrus industry and dedicated her time taking care of the family at home. That didn't stop her from working hard as she accustomed. She made time to provide cleaning services to her community and even then that didn't fulfill her ambitious working habits. She also added catering services for whom she made many dishes for weddings, sweet 15 celebrations and any type of celebration that required food. Her favorite dish to prepare was making rice and tamales. Those were everyone's favorite.
Guille will be laid to rest in peace on Saturday, September 4th 2021 at Linden Cemetery on ST RD 50, Webster FL 33587 after her Mass Service at the Resurrection Catholic Church in 1211 Winter Garden Vineland Rd, Winter Garden, FL 34787 at 2PM. There will also be a viewing and visitation at 5PM on Friday, September 3rd followed by a rosary provided by Deacon Freddy. The family ask that we all continue to follow the CDC masking guidelines for all services. Flowers may be sent to Becker's Funeral Home at 806 W Minneola Ave, Clermont, FL 34711.
