Gracia Camins Hongco, "Mama Grace," age 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 8, 2024, in the comfort of her home. She was born on November 23, 1938, in Zamboanga City, Philippines to Salvador Camins Sr & Estela Ledesma Camins.

She was a caring sister known as "Len" to her five siblings and seven half-siblings. Grew up side by side with them in the Philippines. She then met the love of her life, Terencio Hongco, in 1957, and they soon married in 1959. She worked together with Terencio in a distribution company known as Rosario Brothers. Gracia was a loving and family-orientated person. She then started her own family journey in 1959 with the birth of her first of six children, Estela. About three years later, her first son, Roderick, was born. Terencio applied to work abroad in Sabah, Malaysia, and being the selfless person she was, Gracia stayed at home to care for her children. Eventually, reuniting with Terencio in Sabah, Malaysia, to be a family again. Years go on, and Marivic and Amelia were born. While she was creating her beautiful family, she also worked at Avon Beauty products as a cashier. Gracia was everything you would expect in a hardworking mom.

Back in Zamboanga City, Philippines, she conceived her other two sons, Terencio Jr and Judel, exactly 8 years apart. In the early 90's, she visited America for the first time on a tourist visa with her husband, Terencio. Then, in 2002, they both were able to move to America, petitioned by their daughter Amelia. They settled down in Clermont, Florida. She spent most of her days surrounded by her loved ones, babysitting and doing what she could to support her family. In her free time, she would like to sing, attend Sunday mass, pray, and play crossword puzzles. She was also a very devoted Catholic, and by the grace of God, Gracia was blessed with 14 grandchildren & 8 great-grandchildren, with more to come. She will be forever missed, but her legacy will remain strong for generations to come, inspiring those around her with kindheartedness, generosity, and an unforgettable soul.
