Grace Elinor Knight Wolford Podsiadlo died December 13, 2020 at the age of 96, one day before turning 97 years old at Madison of Clermont Assisted Living facility, Clermont, Florida.

Grace was born December 14, 1923 in Lake Panasoffkee, Florida to Willie Mae and Frederick Knight. Her paternal Grandparents were David Thomas Knight and Alice Graham Knight of Sumterville, FL. Maternal Grandparents were Reverend James Walker Taylor and Lena Williams Taylor of Oxford,FL.

She was educated in Panasoffkee, Wildwood and Bushnell, FL. Graduating from Bushnell High School Class of 1942. She was very active in the band, marching in the Gasparilla parade and traveling to Tallahassee, FL to perform at an Inauguration of the Governor among other band trips.

She attended college in Oklahoma, while staying with her Aunt Kate and then later Florida Southern College in Lakeland, FL. At FSC she met Richard ( Dick) Wolford, they married in 1946. They lived in Durban, NC While Dick was in Graduate School. Their first child Richard Wolford, Jr was born in Durham in 1947. Later they lived in Lakeland, FL, had 2 more children, Thomas Randall in 1949 then Carolyn Grace in 1952. While in Lakeland they were members of College Heights Methodist Church. Grace was very active as Den Mother, Cub Scout Master and later Girl scout leader.

In 1959 they moved to Winter Haven as Dick worked at the Citrus Experiment Station in Lake Alfred. They joined Beymer Methodist Church and remained members. Being very active in the church, Grace sang in the choir and held a term of president of the Methodist Women. Their 4th child Robert D. Wolford was born in 1963.

She became a widow at the early age of 51 in 1974, their son Rob was 11 years old. At that time she went to Polk Community College, earning her A.A.degree and then her LPN from Polk Vocational College as she worked at Winter Haven Hospital Telemetry unit several years.

In 1984 she married Edward Podsiadlo until his death in 2004. Grace and Eddie enjoyed many years of travel and adventures. They lived in Michigan part of the year and had a very fulfilling life with Eddie's 5 children and grandchildren.

Grace is survived by her 4 children: Rick Wolford (wife Kathy), Tom Wolford (Widowed), Carolyn Wolford Harmon (husband David) and Rob Wolford (wife Tammy).

7 Grandchildren: Debbie Wolford, Michelle Ream, Heather Dawkins, Sean Hutson, Jason Wolford, Jessica Wolford and Trevor Wolford
