Grace Elizabeth "Granny" Rogers, 97, of Ferndale, FL passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Mike Conley Hospice House, Clermont.  Grace was born November 11, 1914 in Berlin, Georgia, the daughter of Robert and Georgia (nee Higgs) Maine.  She resided in Ferndale since December of 1954 and was a homemaker.

Grace is survived by her children, Bruce (Bev) Hires, Ruth Hemphill, Roy (Dianne) Rogers, Ethel (Gerald) Henderson, Blanche (Bob) Curry, John (Nancy) Rogers and Laverne (Bob) Sawrey; 21 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wesley "Pappy" Rogers in 1990; children, Joan, Sammy and Nell and grandchildren, Bradley, Jeff, Lisa, Jimmy and Danny.



A Celebration of Grace's life will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 22nd, 2012 at Becker Funeral Home, with Brother Jeff Pritchard officiating.  Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Clermont.  Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM Saturday at the funeral home.  The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials to the Mike Conley Hospice House.
