Gloria Ivelisse Lopez Marin passed away peacefully at her residence in Minneola, FL on April 21, 2022 surrounded by family.

Gloria was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on November 15, 1952 to parents Manuel DeJesus Lopez and Gloria Lopez. Later in the year of 1953 they relocated to Brooklyn, NY where Gloria along with her three siblings Ruy, Madelyn & Lyzzette were raised.

Gloria graduated from Bushwick High School in Brooklyn, NY in 1970 and later, Hunter Bellevue School of Nursing in New York, NY in 1974. She served as a Registered Nurse at many facilities throughout New York City and Long Island until her retirement in 2018, when she then moved to Minneola, FL to be closer to family.

Gloria was a loving soul who was dedicated to helping people and loved spending time with her family. Her peaceful nature always left people feeling accepted and understood. She will be missed for her kindness and generosity.

She is survived by her mother Gloria Lopez, Children Melanie and Chris Solis, Mark and Sharon Lacay, Grandchildren Isaiah and Noah Solis, Miles and Oliver Lacay, Brother Ruy Lopez, Sisters Madelyn Howarth and Lyzzette Lopez and nieces and nephews.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
