Gloria Isoline Ballysingh (nee McIntosh), was born on December 17, 1936, in Grange, Hanover, on the beautiful island of Jamaica to Dorothy McIntosh. Gloria started her life in Jamaica where she had her daughter, Heather in 1952. Her parents, Dorothy and Henry Ferguson immigrated to Wolverhampton, England, and later sent for Gloria and Heather, who joined them in 1961.

When Gloria first arrived in England, she worked as a machinist in Cannock, Staffordshire for a couple of years. One day, while walking out of the market in Wolverhampton, Gloria was approached by a man who invited her to the Jamaican Independence celebration in August 1962. Of course, she said yes. That man, Neville Ballysingh later became her husband, and they got married in March 1964. From that first dance, they became inseparable. Their family grew to become a family of four when their son Elvis later arrived from Jamaica. They shared many happy years making beautiful memories together.

After working in Cannock, Gloria's started working as a nurse's aide at New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton where she stayed for a short while. She went on to work at West Park Hospital in Wolverhampton where she worked for almost 20 years. She craved a slower pace of life and decided to leave her much-loved role and dear friends. She began working in nursing homes across Wolverhampton caring for the elderly. She also provided care for the elderly in their own homes.

When her husband Neville retired in 2005, they decided to move to Florida because it was closer to Gloria's elderly father in Jamaica. They moved to Clermont, Florida in 2007 and lived there for 17 years until her passing.

Gloria passed peacefully on September 29, 2024, at 3:43 am EST, nestled in the arms of her husband, Neville, and her granddaughter, Debbie.

She leaves behind:

· Her husband of 60 years, Neville

· Her daughter, Heather

· Her son, Elvis

· Her grandchildren, Althea, Debbie, Anike (Nicky), Leecia and Wesley

· Her great-grandchildren, LG, Syrr, Cameron, Leah, Khloe, Nathaniel (Dylan), Jaiden, and Zoya

Gloria's Remembrance Service will take place on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 11am EST at
