Gloria Pilar Beguiristain, age 91, a resident of Montverde, FL peacefully went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2022. She was a caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.

Gloria was the youngest of three children born to Arturo Beguiristain Aleman and Carmen Goyena Beguiristain on April 29, 1931 in Havana, Cuba.

Gloria married Jorge Antonio Arellano on June 04, 1959, in Havana, Cuba. They were married 51 years before Jorge passed in 2010. Gloria and Jorge moved to the United States fleeing communism in the early 1960's. She was very thankful and proud to be an American.

Gloria is survived by her three loving children; George Arellano (Sherri), Gustavo Arellano, and John Arellano (Karin); four grandchildren, Kaleb Arellano, Dr. Kelsey Arellano-Savell (Jesse), Alex Arellano (Kaylin), Brianna Arellano; one great grandchild, Sunny Lynn Savell. She was preceded in

death by her husband, Jorge Arellano, and son, Francis Arellano.

Gloria was a devout Catholic who loved spending time with her family. She was a loving and caring woman who had an amazing devotion to prayer, and the faith that could move mountains. When her family and friends needed prayer, she was the first person they would call. She was indeed a prayer warrior who will be missed by many.

Gloria had a passion for classical music and was an accomplished pianist. She also loved watching the Olympics on TV. Ice skating and swimming were her favorite events. Although she would never admit, she really had a competitive side, which we all knew that came out in BINGO. Gloria was known at Benton House Assisted Living as the bingo champion and the movie star. There was no denying her love for candy (especially chocolate) and Canada Dry Ginger-Ale!

Gloria was loved deeply and fiercely, and her presence will be greatly missed. We love you Mom (Mima).

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023, 10am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Clermont.
