Glenn Earl Burns of Montverde, Florida passed away at his home on Saturday, May 11, 2019 after a long battle with Lewy Body dementia and Parkinson's disease. He was born in Clermont, Florida on January 3, 1956 to Thomas and Dorothy Burns. Glenn married Colleen Donlevy on April 15, 1987 in Miami Beach, Florida. He worked as a Geographic Information System consultant. Glenn was a town councilman in Montverde for seven years, resigning his position last year due to his declining health. Glenn had a passion for his community and was instrumental in creating the Green Mountain Scenic Highway.

Glenn is survived by his wife of 32 years, Collen Donlevy-Burns, daughters; Megan Soles of Osprey, Florida and Anna Burns of Tucson, Arizona, brother Roy Burns of Groveland, Florida, sisters; Anita Karst of Tampa, Florida, Connie Phillips of Groveland, Florida, and Lori Cunningham of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and a nine month old grandchild, Luke Glenn Sole.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, May 20, 2019 at Woodlands Lutheran Church in Montverde, Florida followed by interment at Empire Church Cemetery in Groveland, Florida.
