She was born in Coffee County, Alabama, daughter of Piney and Nadine (nee Creech) Ashberry.  They moved to Florida when she was a young child.  Glenda retired after being a clerk for over 31 years, a job she truly loved, because she loved people.  She loved mowing and working in the yard, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Glenda was preceded in death by the love of her life, Larry Blaine Putman.  She is survived by her children; James (Jean) Ashberry, William Carneal, Rick Day and Samantha Day all of Pennsylvania, Rachel (Carl) Moore of Canada and Paulette Huff-Mercer of Florida.  She was preceded in death by her children, Lamar Huff and Amy Grondin.

She is also survived by her siblings; Annette Branom, Gary (Veda) Ashberry and Donna (Charles) Smith all of Florida.  Her siblings, Samuel, Susan, Sandra and Martha Ashberry all preceded her in death.  Glenda is survived by her grandchildren, Brandon, Heather and Lamar Ashberry all of Pennsylvania, Chris and Trey Moore, Maddison, Clarissa and Alexander Grondin all of Canada, Rickey Lee Day of Kansas,  Paul Ryan (Shelsea) Mahon, Wendy and Anastasia Meeks and Allison Mercer all of Florida.  Her grandchildren, Crystal and Richard Day preceded her in death.  Great Grandchildren, Gracie Evans, Andy Caruso and Daisy Temples along with a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends survive her as well.

She will be greatly missed.

There will be a "Celebration of Life" at 12:00PM Saturday, December 11, 2021 in her honor at her home she loved so much.
