Geraldine Roper, 83, of Tavares, FL passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at her daughter's home in Ferndale, FL. Geraldine was born in Walton, KY on December 24, 1930, the daughter of Reamy and Minnie (nee Hammond) Simpson. She was a lifelong resident of the Central Florida area and was a homemaker. She attended the Mt. Dora Baptist Church.



Geraldine is survived by her children, John (Pattie) Rich of Walton, KY, Rita (Edwin) Mitchell of Ferndale, FL and Dave Rich of Montverde, FL; brother, Paul Simpson of KY and 5 grandchildren.



There are no services for Mrs. Roper as per her wishes. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials in her name can be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL 32778.
