Georgia W. Texter

August 25, 1927 – October 3, 2022

Our loving mother, Georgia Wardell Texter, 95 of Clermont, Florida, went to be with the Lord on October 3, 2022. She was born on August 25, 1927 to Weston and Marion Prosser Wardell in East Orange, New Jersey.

She is predeceased by her husband and "love of her life", as she called him, Russel J., Jr., and her brother Robert Wardell. She is survived by her brother Weston Wardell of Delaware and her seven children, Dawn Lindsey (Ron) of Cohocton, New York, Mark (Sandy) of Tipp City, Ohio, Lori DiFulvio (Dave) of Littleton, Colorado, Joel of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Gail Hamilton (Earl) of Clermont, Florida, Rene Levenson (Adam) of Port St. Lucie, Florida, and Juli Cornwell of Binghamton, New York. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Mom graduated from high school and received her R.N. Degree from Deaconess Hospital in Buffalo, New York. She was very active in her church and their choir in the many cities she lived in as our father was promoted within General Electric. She also served as part of the Parent Teacher Association, Room mother, or anything else her children needed. They retired and settled in Clermont, Florida where our mom was active at Liberty Baptist Church, in her community bible study, water aerobics and helping her friends. She was loved and adored by many for her kind and loving spirit.

We all have special memories at Raquette Lake, New York where we spent summers at our family camp that was lovingly built by her husband and father-in-law, Russel, Sr.

Services will be in New York at a later date where she will be laid to rest next to her husband. Donations can be made in her name to a charity of choice, as she donated to several over the course of her life.

Thank you to all her caregivers, Merv, Dora, Silvia, Paige, Andrea and Winsome, as well as her various hospice nurses and neighbors for their wonderful care of mom and being her friend.

Mom was always there for her large family. We will miss you, but forever will you live in our hearts.

Love forever,

Your Family
