It is with great sadness that we announce the death of  George Everett Wood.  He passed away peacefully in Clermont, Florida on July 8, 2012. George was the son of the late A. Royal Wood and Winifred Wood Foss.  Predeceased by his brother Jonathan (Ardith), he is survived by his sisters, Cynthia Malik (Dharam) of Toronto, Canada, and Glena Ames (Gil) of Hamden, CT, stepson Michael Howard (Jennifer), step-grandchildren, Skye and Hunter Howard of Orlando, Florida, former wife Susan Wood of Clermont,  Florida, and numerous nieces and nephews. George was born in Boston, MA in 1936 and grew up in North Haven. He graduated from Hopkins Grammar School and Rhode Island School of Design. He worked as an architect in Hamden, Providence. RI, and Toronto. Later he moved to Florida and ran an architectural practice for many years in Clermont. We will miss him dearly.
