Obituary

George John Peroni, 93, of Groveland, FL passed away Sunday, February 16, 2020 at home with family and under the care of Hospice.  George was born on July 12, 1926 in New York City, NY, son of Peter and Verna Peroni.  He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.  After his service he lived in Miami, FL and Key Biscayne, FL. He  had a long career as an electrical engineer and also invented many things, holding numerous patents.

He enjoyed swing dancing, scuba diving and ocean power boat racing –winning many races!

He was a Boy Scout Troup leader as well as a Boy Scout Commissioner.

George is survived by his loving children, Linda Kumanchik (Dean), Brian Peroni (Pam), Janice Raddatz, Karen Serrao (Peter), Mark Peroni (Robin) and Glenn Peroni (Ulrika).  He is also survived by his 9 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. George was predeceased by children Gary and Marie, and Grand children Christopher and Joshua.

Interment in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials in George's name to Alzheimer's Research & Prevention Foundation.
