Obituary

George Clinton Narehood, Jr., was born in Pine Glen, Pennsylvania on December 27, 1938 to Alice (Hoover) and George C. Narehood, Sr. In 1956 he graduated from Snow Shoe High School, in Snow Shoe Pennsylvania.
George moved to Florida in 1965, where he managed a chain of retail furniture stores before moving to his true passion of woodworking. His work was well known throughout Central Florida in the many custom homes and beautiful pieces of furniture that he built.
His favorite pastimes were spending quality time with his loving wife of 45 years, his children and his grandchildren. Without a doubt, he could be found on the lake fishing or in the woods hunting.
George is preceded in death by his father George C. Narehood, Sr.
He is survived by his wife Genger of Clermont; daughter LuAnn Shifter and husband David of Frenchville, Pennsylvanian; son Brian Narehood and wife Amanda, of Davenport, Florida; daughter Dena Castro and husband Ramon of Clermont, Florida; grandsons Christopher and Austin Castro, and granddaughter Brianna Narehood.
He is also survived by his mother Alice Meiggs; siblings Barbara Moore, Elizabeth Gaffney, Charles and Kenneth Narehood all of Groveland, Florida; and Edward Narehood of Lemont, Pennsylvania.
George's love, personality, strength and strong will is truly going to be missed by his family and all the lives he touched.
