George Frederick Lyon, 89, of Clermont, FL passed away Friday, July 12, 2013. George was born on October 11, 1923 in Charleston, WV, the son of Curtis and Westie (nee Rhodes) Lyon. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and had resided in Clermont since September of 1958. George was a retired business owner, those businesses included a restaurant and tree nursery. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Clermont. George is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Bertha; children, Rodney Lyon of Clermont, Regina (William) Martin of Brooksville, FL, Rickey Lyon of Clermont and Rhonda Glover of Lakeland, FL and grandchildren, Michael and Krista Cashwell and Michael "Andy" Glover.



A Celebration of George' life will be held at 4PM Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Becker Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 3PM until service time. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials to Cornerstone Hospice or the 1st United Methodist Church ? Wesley Chapel Bldg. Fund. BECKER FUNERAL HOME, 806 W.
