George Francis DiPaula, age 51, died on Monday, December 7, 2015 in his home next to his wife, Carrie. He was born on Long Island, New York to Diane Ferraris and Frank DiPaula and was the youngest of three children. His family relocated to Inverness, Florida in the 70s.
A 1982 Graduate of Citrus High School, he immediately enlisted in the Marine Corps and served for two years. George started his own Fire Protection business and it has had a successful run to the present. He is survived by his parents, his wife, his in-laws Sue and Ray Walker, older brother, Glenn, older sister, Roseann, Neices; Haley Freeman and Jennifer DiPaula-Piper; Nephew, Brian Walker, Aunts and Uncles and was the most loving father to his three children, Jake, 21; Bradley, 18; Rachel, 11.
George is most known by friends and family for his love of the Lord, a zest for life, and helping friends and family as well as strangers. He attended Real Life Church in Clermont and enjoyed participating in Mens' Groups and helping others with confliction and addictions.
George will always be remembered for his dare-devil demeanor and hardly having a care in the world except for God, his family and his business. Always ready to be the first to jump in and the last to pull you out, his humor and wit, were infectious. No matter what may have been going on in his life, he always extended a helping hand.
George and his wife Carrie, had a swinging door to their house, so to say. During holidays, there were people that they hardly knew, had no where to go for dinner and was invited in. The holidays didn't only consist of family and friends, but also, strangers that George and Carrie trusted by the grace of God.
George was a real man in the fact that he was not shy about spreading the Word. Having demons himself in parts of his life, he never hid talking about it and sharing it with those that needed an uplifting word and knowing there was help through God and through George's experiences.
George was a man that commanded a room, made people laugh and left them wanting more. If you have a FaceBook account, you can see the many love-sends, comments and stories on this amazing man's life at "George DiPaula" in Clermont.
George was baptized shortly before he left us. He spoke of the Lord often. Although he left this world, Heaven has gained a good man and if heaven has a sense of humor, George will be front stage, the Rock Star.
The Memorial (Celebration Of Life) Service will be held on Friday, December 11, 2015 at Real Life Christian Church at 10:30am. Location at 1501 Steve's Road Building A. Clermont, Fl. 34711.
The DiPaula Family would like to extend their gratitude for the uplifting love, comments and wonderful stories during this difficult time.
