IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Genevieve J.
Schardt
July 8, 1924 – August 10, 2019
"All things work together for them that love God."
Genevieve J. Schardt passed away on August 10 th , 2019 in Clermont, Florida after a brief illness. She was 95 years old. Genevieve was born in Perigoul, Arkansas and her parents were Maude and George Arthur Jenkins. When Genevieve was a baby her parents moved to St. Louis, Missouri and that is where she grew up, married, and where her three children were born. In 1968 Genevieve moved to Titusville, Florida with her family and shortly after that she was employed with the Brevard County Sheriff's department. She worked in the records department for 16 years until her husband retired from his job with Boeing. Genevieve then moved to several different locations in North Carolina, mainly because she liked the adventure of moving and to be closer to her kids. In 2012 Genevieve moved back to Florida in Clermont with family.
Genevieve always told her children that she was very blessed to have lived as long as she did. In her later years she loved to knit and crochet things for her family and friends. Also she loved and owned any kind of electrical device and spent hours enjoying them. Genevieve's parents were prominent members of the Church Of Christ and her dad served as an elder for many years. She loved the Lord her entire life and was a member of the Clermont Church of Christ. She will be dearly missed and we will forever treasure our precious memories with her.
Genevieve was preceded in death by husband Herbert Schardt, mother Maude Jenkins, father George Arthur Jenkins, sisters Carolyn Houston and Peggy Murphy. Genevieve was survived by daughter Christine Schardt, son Richard Schardt and daugther-in-law Catherine Schardt all of Clermont, Florida, son Herbert Schardt, Jr. of El Paso, Texas, granddaughter Amanda (John Bragg) of Nashville, Tennessee, grandson Bert Gary of Atlanta, Georiga and grandaughter Heather Gary of South Carolina.
