Gary E. Gustafson, 64, of Clermont, FL passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012. Gary was born on January 2, 1948 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of John and Elizabeth (ne Plant) Gustafson. He served in the U.S. Army from 1966 -1969 and was stationed in Vietnam during 1967 - 1968. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Southampton College in 1980 and his Master's Degree from C.W. Post College in 1981. Gary worked for the U.S. Department of Defense for 30 years. During this career, Gary worked at Grumman Bethpage, Long Island, NY, Lockheed Martin, Orlando, FL, STRICOM, Orlando, FL, Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral, FL and was a Chair at the Defense Acquisition University at Ft. Belvoir, VA. After retiring from the government until the present time, Gary was consulting for J & K Associates.



He was an active parishioner at St. Matthias Episcopal Church, Clermont. Gary is survived by his wife of 44 years, Diane; children, Hope (Rick) Blume and Scott (Jessica) Gustafson; grandchildren, Sarah and Hannah Blume and Grant Gustafson, all of Clermont, FL; mother, Elizabeth Gustafson, residing in Winter Garden, FL; brother, Richard of Hyde Park, NY and mother-in-law, Vivian Kopp, residing in Clermont, FL.



Funeral Services will be at 11:30 AM Monday, August 20, 2012 at St. Matthias Episcopal Church.  The Reverend William J.
