Gary W. Chronic, October 12, 1945-August 22, 2016
Gary W. Chronic, devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, was born in Eldorado, Illinois. After graduation, he joined the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his country in Chu Lai, Vietnam. Upon his return, he and his wife of 50 years began their family. He worked for Crop Production Services in the chemical industry for most of his life. He was a member of the Florida National Guard and a lifetime member of the VFW. Gary was always willing to lend a helping hand to friends, neighbors and anyone in need. His "Garyisms" will be fondly remembered by all.
He is survived by his cherished wife, Mitzi, his daughter and son in law, Yvonne and Brian Schaefer, and his son and daughter in law, Robert and Ann Chronic. He was deeply loved by his 5 grandchildren; Reese and Landon Schaefer, Jacob, Aislinn and Campbell Chronic. He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn W. Chronic, mother, Marie I. Walter, and sister Becky Cooper.
Funeral Arrangements are being handled by Becker Funeral Home, Clermont. Services will begin at 11:00 am, Friday September 2 followed by internment at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, at 1:30.
