Gail T.
Crumblish
Jun 20, 1940 — Jul 22, 2026
Gail T. (Sheridan) Crumblish
June 20, 1940 – July 22, 2026
Gail T. (Sheridan) Crumblish, 86, a resident of Orchard Heights Senior Living Community in Clermont, Florida, went home to be with the Lord Jesus on July 22, 2026, at Cornerstone Hospice in Clermont following a brief illness.
Born June 20, 1940, in Yonkers, New York, Gail was a daughter of the late Thomas B. Sheridan Jr. and Agnes (Masseo) Sheridan.
Gail devoted her life to the care of others. A graduate of the Bellevue School of Nursing, she served as a registered nurse for decades in several hospitals, but her heart, and her longest tenure of nearly thirty years, belonged to the Veterans Administration, where she cared for the men and women who had served our country. That devotion to healing and to those in uniform became the defining thread of her life, one she passed on to her children and grandchildren.
On June 15, 1963, she married Francis J. “Frank” Crumblish. Together for nearly fifty years, they built a family rooted in service and faith until Frank’s passing in December 2012.
A longtime resident of Monroe, New York, Gail was an active member of St. Anastasia’s Church in Harriman, New York. After moving to Clermont, Florida, she became a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Known for her feisty spirit and boundless energy, she was a leader at Orchard Heights, where she made many friends and stayed active in its events and outings until her brief illness.
Gail is survived by her three children and their families, in whom her dedication to service and healing endures:
Mark Crumblish and his wife, Sue Ellen, of Fort Worth, Texas. A U.S. Naval Academy graduate, Mark is a former Naval Aviator and a veteran of the First Gulf War.
Hillary Crumblish and her husband, Jeff Jobe, of Brooksville, Florida. Following her mother into nursing, Hillary earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and serves as a registered nurse at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida.
Stephen Crumblish and his wife, Jennifer Salvadori, of Clermont, Florida. A graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Stephen is a former Army Aviator and a veteran of the Bosnia conflict.
She is also survived by eleven grandchildren: Eamonn Crumblish (Chandler Daffern), Connor Crumblish (Sun Jiao), and Chandler Crumblish Paine (Preston Paine); Katie Johnson (Carter Blitch), Shannon McCann, and Eamonn McCann (Kelcey Rowe); and Delaney, Hannah (James Perez De Alderete), Stevie, Jack, and Frankie Crumblish. She also leaves four great-grandchildren: Vana, Isla, and Declan Crumblish and Porter Paine.
The family’s legacy of service lives on. Her grandson Eamonn is a 2015 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and a Naval Aviator; her grandson Stevie is a Doctor of Physical Therapy; and her grandson Jack serves as a firefighter and EMT.
In addition to her husband, Frank, and her parents, Gail was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas Sheridan III and Charles Sheridan.
