Frederick D. Taylor, born September 11, 1927, passed away peacefully at his residence in Altoona, FL on June 26, 2025.
Fred was a Christian, a committed husband, father, grandfather, & great grandfather. He was an instrument rated private pilot, enjoyed golf (six hole in ones), bridge player, fisherman, hunter, avid reader, storyteller, a dry wit, and a great sense of humor. Fred graduated from Purdue University with a BS degree in chemistry. He worked for Eli Lilly as a bacteriologist and he retired after 36 years. Served in the army at the end of World War II. He thoroughly enjoyed living at Lakeview Terrace Retirement Community in Altoona, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents William and Hazel Taylor, Spiceland, IN; Wife Betty S Taylor, Altoona, FL; Brothers Robert Taylor, Greenfield, IN; William Taylor, Ft. Wayne, IN.
He is survived by His children, Greg (Kim) Taylor, Nappanee, IN; Marc (Retz) Taylor, Las Vegas, NV; Shari (Brent) Hendrickson, Marietta, GA.
