On September 9, 2024 Frank Eddy Meade, of Clermont, FL loving husband of Eleanor for over 64 years passed away at age 85. Frank was born on October 11, 1938 in River Junction, FL to Dr. Glenn and Mary (Eddy) Meade. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers, Ronald, James, John, and Robert Meade. Raised in the Gainesville, FL area with 5 brothers and 1 sister, he graduated from Gainesville High School in 1956 and then served in the Navy before attending the University of Florida. After marrying and having three children, he completed his degree at Rollins College while working part-time. He was very proud of his 25 year career at Walt Disney World as an original cast member and served the South Lake community in the Kiwanis Club and at First United Methodist Church (now known as Living Hope Church) as an usher and delivering for the Meals on Wheels program. Frank enjoyed the outdoors and much family time was spent fishing, camping, water skiing, swimming and jumping off docks and diving boards. He is survived by his daughters Suzie (Tom)Brownlee, Jennifer(Steve) Harder of Clermont; son Tom Meade (Frances) of Sebring; grandchildren, Ben Wolfe and wife Kacy of Clermont, Jessica Allen and husband Jason of Loganville, GA, Paul Brownlee of Austin, TX, Kristen Harder of Jacksonville, and Jill Harder of Nashville, TN; great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Lawson, Carter, and Greyson; sister, Glenda Mattair of Quincy, Fl and brother, Bill and wife Pam of Jacksonville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. His memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 12th at 1pm at Living Hope Church of Clermont (formerly First United Methodist Church) at 950 7th Street, Clermont, FL. Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather and share memories in the social hall.
