Frances Gloria Smargiassi

April 24, 1931 – April 26, 2019

Frances Gloria Smargiassi, 88, of Clermont, passed away April 26, 2019. She was born April 24, 1931 in Connecticut. She was a flight attendant for Colonial Airlines where she met her husband. On September 18, 1954 she was united in marriage to Michael Louis Smargiassi at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Bronx, NY. A South Florida resident since 1956, she moved to Clermont in 1982. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 60 years. She is survived by her five children Cathline (Andrew) Cohen, Deborah Smargiassi, Nicholas (Lisa) Smargiassi, Cynthia (John) Schwarz, and Michele (John) Horn, as well as 10 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.

There will be a private visitation for immediate family. Mass of the Resurrection for Mrs. Smargiassi will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, celebrated by Reverend Robert Webster.
