Frances Taverna, 77, Spring Hill, FL passed away May 25, 2011 at Superior Residences of Clermont. She was born July 14, 1933 in Messina, Italy daughter of Joseph Schibeci & Concetta Iacono Schibeci. She was a seamstress in the garment industry prior to locating to Florida in 1998 from Brooklyn, NY. She was of catholic faith and attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Surviving is her husband Calogero "Charlie" Taverna, whom she married on December 16, 1961; daughters Enza Taverna & Michelle (Robert) Farrell and grandchildren Christopher, Timothy & Danielle Farrell all of Clermont & sisters Josephine Santamaria & Beatrice Schibeci all of Spring Hill.



Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, May 27, 2011 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic church, celebrated by Very Reverend Robert E. Webster. Entombment will follow in Grace Memorial Gardens in Hudson, FL. Visitation will be from 5-9 on Thursday at the funeral home.
