Floyd Steffen, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on February 4, 2011 in Clermont, Florida.He was born in Union Grove, Wisconsin on July 30, 1936 and married Lenore Becker on June 24, 1956.He is survived by his wife Lenore, daughters Wanda (Paul) Eastman, Janet (Scott) Nelson, grandchildren P.J., Chase, Colt Eastman, Scotty Nelson, and great-grandchild, Cassandra Eastman.
Also survived by a brother Marvin (Vivian) Steffen, Dayton Tennesse, sisters Myrtle (Art) Monnier, Clermont, Marcie (Del) Shelton, Cape Coral, Florida, Pearl (Dennis) Taylor, Linda (Tom) Otwaska, Jane (Gordon) Anderson, All of Racine, Wisconsin, Mary (Mark) Carr, Knoxville, Tennessee, Sister-in-Law Carol Beery Greenville, South Carolina and many nieces, nephews, and friends.He was preceded in death by his father George, mother Lucile, and brother Earl.
Floyd owned and operated Rocky Acres Equestrian Center 10 years, working with Barron County 4-H club hosting training centers and horse shows.He also worked for Handi-Lift Transport.He retired in 2006 at which time he and his wife, Lenore, moved to Florida and purchased a home in Clerbrook Golf & RV Resort at 20005 US HWY 27, P.O. Box C-21, Clermont, Florida, 34715.He worked as a security guard there until January 6, 2011.
Burial was at Florida National Veteran's Cemetery Bushnell, Florida. The family will have a memorial service at Clerbrook Resort on Friday, February 11, 2011 at 2:00 PM. Pastor Chet Jordan will officiate.
