Floy Helen Reynolds Kruse LaForce, 83, was ushered into the presence of the Lord on Friday March 27, 2015, surrounded by her family. Floy was born in Utica, New York on October 8, 1931 to John and Gertrude Reynolds. She grew up in South Trenton, New York.

She graduated from Hartwick College as a registered nurse in 1953. She married Richard (Dick) Kruse in 1952, settling in East Syracuse, New York. They had two sons, Bill and Dave. After the passing of her first husband, she later married Arthur R. LaForce.

Following in her parents' footsteps, Floy and Art became snowbirds in 1982, spending their winters in Clermont, Florida and their summers in East Syracuse, New York. A vibrant member of both communities, she was an active member in each of her churches. She had a great love and respect for the retired missionaries of the African Inland Mission in Minneola, Florida and spent much of her time involved there. Her lifelong love of flowers and gardening led to her involvement in the Clermont Garden Club.

Floy is predeceased by her first and second husbands Dick and Art, and her son Richard David Kruse. She is survived by her son William (Connie) and her daughter-in-law Kendra (Dave). She is also survived by her eight grandchildren John (Jamie), Will (Julia), Tim, Kortney, Dillon, Whitney, Floy Beth, and Eli. As well as her three great-grandchildren: Brayden, Jack, and Journey.

Floy had a remarkable love for God from an early age and she relied heavily on the Lord to sustain her throughout her life. She is remembered for her quick wit and sense of humor. She was an excellent listener and a wonderful Grandmother who poured her life into her kids and grandkids, and all things furry (especially cats). Affectionately known as Mom Floy, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Calling hours will be held at Becker Funeral Home 806 West Minneola Ave, Clermont, FL 34711 on Tuesday March 31, 2015 between 5-8PM. A funeral service will take place at 11 AM Wednesday April 1, 2015 at Hillside Community Church, 405 S Main Ave, Minneola, FL 34715. In lieu of flowers a donation is suggested to the African Inland Mission, 1000 Media Rd. Minneola, FL 34715.

Provisions for Floy's interment will take place at the South Trenton Cemetery after a memorial service with her NY Church, New Testament Baptist May 9th.
