Florence Gloria Kanouse ( né Brown)

It is with great sadness that the family of Florence Gloria Kanouse announces her passing on May 25, 2018 at the age of 88 years. Florence will be lovingly remembered by her children and their spouses: Rose and Romeo Lerro, Patricia and Greg Looby, John and Betty Kanouse and Michael Kanouse. Florence will also be fondly remembered by six grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, and by her numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends. Florence was predeceased by her husband, William Benjamin.
A native of Clermont, FL, Florence lived at various times in Maine, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, but raised her family in Livingston, NJ. During her time in NJ she worked at NJ Bell in Newark and B. Altman's in Short Hills. In addition to spending time with her family, Florence enjoyed her crafts, creative arts and experiencing new adventures when traveling.
Per Florence's request, there will be a brief ceremony for immediate family only held at Restland Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ. In lieu of flowers/memorials, please feel free to donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, one of our Mom's favorites.
