IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Florence Margaret
Didato
December 19, 1946 – December 15, 2018
Florence M. "Cookie" Didato, 71, formerly of Grants Pass, Oregon, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at her daughter's home in Clermont, Florida.
Cookie was born in Manhattan, New York on December 19, 1946 to Russell D. and Margaret (McMahon) Beck. Her maternal grandmother gave her the nickname of "Cookie" as she was "her grandma's little cookie". Cookie faithfully devoted herself to serving God and her community as a pastor's wife and taught Sunday school for many years. She was the former owner-operator of Mama's Catering in Prosser, Washington before becoming a licensed beautician and the on-site beauty shop operator at Highland House in Grants Pass until her retirement. Cookie was soft-spoken by nature but had a spunky sense of humor that was endearing to those who knew her. Since she was born in December, Christmas was always a special time of year for her. She loved animals, angels, butterflies, and of course, her favorite pastry…cannolis.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Sandi (Jeff) Henck, Debbey Didato, John (Cindy) Didato and Janet (Bill) Torgerson; grandchildren; Amy, Branden, Charlie, Cody, JJ, Kevin, Melody, Natasha, Russell, Summer, Steven, Tyler, and Whitney, great-grandchildren; Aubrey, Autumn, Elijah, Emily, Giada, Jackson, Kiersten, Kyah, Noah, and Skye, sister and brother; Carol Miglino and Thomas Beck, devoted pet and companion, Smokey, and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Rev. Charles A. Didato.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Cookie's memory may be made to the American Lung Association:

A private memorial service will be scheduled at a future date at St. Mathias Episcopal Church, Clermont.
