Eva Luz Zdan, age 86, of Clermont passed away September 30, 2011 at the Mike Conley Hospice House. She was born May 29, 1925 in Yabocoa, Puerto Rico the eighth child born to Delfin and Joaquina Carrasquillo Colon. Eva was a homemaker and worked in several office jobs. In New York she graduated from Kingsborough College in January 1975 with an Associate Degree in Applied Science. She then continued at Queens College and received a BA majoring in Sociology in September 1976. When her husband Nicholas had a job transfer they moved to San Francisco, CA in October 1976. She wanted to render her service to society and went to work as a bilingual social worker. She retired in 1989 and moved to central Florida in 1993. Eva was of Roman Catholic faith. She was a kind woman who was quick to help her family, friends and neighbors. Eva will be dearly missed by all. She was predeceased by all of her siblings. Surviving is her loving husband of 52 years, Nicholas Zdan and a host of nephews, nieces and family.
Visitation for Eva Luz Zdan will be from 2-5 PM on Sunday, October 2, 2011. Further services and burial will be in Ever-Green Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY.
