Obituary

Emma Hulean Coppage was born on May 20, 1933 in Flat Rock, AL to Dolphus (Doc) and Sally Mae Stiefel. She peacefully made her entrance into heaven on Thursday, February 3, 2022.

Hulean married the love of her life, Will Coppage on June 8,1949, beginning a 65-year journey of love and devotion to each other. They built a loving family that flourished with the birth of three children. Hulean worked at the B&W plant before beginning her 22 year career with Lake County Schools as a cafeteria worker. She made the best rolls anyone ever tasted! After retirement, she and Will operated a roadside vegetable stand, and was known far and wide for her infamous jams, jellies, pickles and cream corn. Hulean was a devout Christian, and devoted her whole life to God, and her family, whom she and Will raised in the fear and admonition of the Lord.

She is survived by her daughter, Connie Orren and loving son-in-law, Ray Orren, "Extra" son, Harold Hanks (Judy), 6 grandchildren, Daniel Orren (Michelle), Misty Action (Jason), Levi Coppage (Lea), Benjamin Coppage, Savanah Coppage, Alicia Wilson (Clay), 3 "Extra" grandchildren; Rachel Thomas (Carl), Mallory Malone, Shane Malone; 7 great grandchildren, Jackson, Eli, and Mia Wilson, Heavin Holloway, Zach Action, Hudson Orren, and Sterling Coppage (due in April, 2022); and 8 "Extra" great grandchildren , Jamal Malone, Jase Malone, Jaxton Malone, Marianna Malone, Ayden J. Malone, Kayla, Avery, and Greyson Thomas; 3 sisters; Louise Black, Joyce Robinson (Wendell), and Delga Bowman, and numerous other family members and loved ones.

Hulean is preceded in death by her loving husband, Will Coppage; daughter, Sherry Gail Kirkland; son, Tony Lamar Coppage; grandchildren, Sheri Gail Coppage, and William Coppage; parents, Dolphus and Sally Mae Stiefel, three brothers, Ottis, Virgil and Willard Stiefel; two sisters, Iola Fowler and Alma Knowles, and numerous other family members.

She was loved by all, and was Mom too many. Only eternity will tell how many lives her life truly impacted. She will be missed by all, and never forgotten by those who knew her.
