IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elsa Jean
Flesher
April 28, 1961 – May 9, 2024
On Thursday,May 9th, at the age of 63, Elsa Jean (Hart) Flesher passed away unexpectedly in Clermont, Florida. Elsa is predeceased by her parents, Ted & Chris Hart of Canastota, New York, and her sisters Linda and Maria. She is survived by her brothers Bobby and Teddy, and her twin sister Lisa, and her loving husband David of almost 38 years. And is lovingly remembered by her son, Michael (Kristie) of Canastota, New York, their daughters Sarah Flesher of Clermont, Florida and Julie (Ryan) Arafa of Orlando, Florida, and her grandchildren Mike Jr, Joey, Aubrie, Madison, and Jordan, and her loving beagle Murray.
Elsa was born in Oneida, New York on April 28, 1961 and grew up in Canastota, New York with her parents, two brothers and three sisters. She graduated from Canastota High School in 1979 and went on to work as a shipping clerk at Syracuse Plastics in Fayetteville, New York where she met her future husband, David. They married in 1986 and began their family. In 1994 David, Elsa, Sarah, and Julie moved to Florida, first living in Maitland before moving to Clermont in 1996.
In their new Clermont neighborhood, Elsa, a stay-at-home mom at the time, helped new neighbors coordinate deliveries, installations and punch list repairs on their new homes while they were at work. Eventually the home builder saw the benefit in having her work for them, not the neighbors, and she was hired by Maronda Homes as an assistant to the head salesperson working in the model home. There she was able to meet all her future neighbors many of whom became good friends. Her next and final stop was working as a third party retail vendor for Paradies, a company that places Disney merchandise in local stores like Walmart, Target, Publix, Walgreens and CVS. Her time spent in these retail locations was put to good use as she was known for giving little gifts to her friends and family, just because.
She loved country music and was a huge fan of Miranda Lambert having seen her perform three different times including her Las Vegas residency. She shared her husband's love of Pittsburgh Steelers Football and could be found on Sunday's at a local sports bar welcoming members of Steeler nation to their table, eventually growing the group to an average of twenty members. Elsa was incredibly social and loved getting people together. She was devoted to her family, most recently her grandkids. She was taken too soon and she will be missed.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2024, from 4pm until 7pm at Becker Funeral Home.
As long as there is love and memory,
There is no true loss.
Our memories of yesterday will last a lifetime…
