IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elkaniah "Kane"
Emmanuel Outar
November 18, 1939 – December 30, 2025
Elkaniah Emmanuel Outar, affectionately known as "Kane," passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025, at the age of 86. He was born on November 18, 1939, in Saint Thomas, Jamaica, where he spent his early years surrounded by family, friends, and the vibrant culture of his beloved island home.
Before migrating to the United States, Kane earned a degree in Industrial Technology from Mico University in Kingston, Jamaica. His education and craftsmanship shaped a lifelong dedication to hard work, excellence, and service to others.
In 1967, Kane moved to Hartford, Connecticut, in pursuit of new opportunities. Two years later, in 1969, he married the love of his life, Pamela King. Together they shared a remarkable 56 years of marriage marked by love, devotion, and faith—a union that stood as a shining example to all who knew them. Kane worked as a skilled flooring contractor in the Greater Hartford area, where he was well-respected for his craftsmanship, dedication, and integrity.
In 2002, Kane and Pamela moved to Clermont, Florida, where they became active members of the Caribbean American Association of Lake County and attended South Lake Presbyterian Church.
Kane is survived by his loving wife, Pamela, and their four children: Kevin Outar and his wife Maria of New Britain, CT; Shaun Outar and his wife Daisha of Lawrenceville, GA; Robin Outar of Ocala, FL; and Karen Outar-Simmonds and her husband Gillian of Hampton, GA. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Shaquille, Tahj, Shationya (Javien), Jalen, Bryan, Keilaysha, and other grandchildren — all of whom brought him immense joy and pride.
He is also survived by his siblings: Scafford "Roy" Outar of Homestead, FL; Ezra Outar of Coventry, England; Delcynth Schloss (Roger) of Tallahassee, FL; Lenroy Lewis (Paulette) of Clarendon, Jamaica; Pamela Lewis of Kingston, Jamaica; and Lindale Lewis (Jennifer) of Conyers, GA—along with numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, friends, and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.
