Eleanor C. Skawinski (nee Carroll), 94, of Winter Garden, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2019. Born April 5, 1925 in Whitman, MA, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Exilda Ladouceur Carroll and beloved wife of the late Stanley Skawinski.
After raising four children in Trumbull, CT, she and her husband moved to Central Florida in 1984. Eleanor and her husband were active in the Catholic Church and she also enjoyed creative pursuits in her retirement, including knitting and decorative sewing. She was also a Eucharistic minister and a Minister to the Sick for Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Clermont, FL for many years.
She is survived by her children, Christine Nelson of Clermont, FL; Joseph Skawinski and wife Kathy, Windermere, FL; and Steven Skawinski, Ocoee, FL; as well as five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Raymond Skawinski; son-in-law, Walter Nelson; grandson, Andrew Nelson; brothers, Lee and Edward Buck Carroll; and sisters Doraise Harkins and Madeline Ouimette.

Mass of the Resurrection for Eleanor Skawinski will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, celebrated by Father Bob, in Clermont, FL.

Burial will be private in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.
