Eleanor "Ellie" Joan Fink August 11, 1935-December 29, 2022
Eleanor Joan passed away peacefully on December 29, 2022. A longtime resident of Florida including Hialeah, Miami Lakes and Clermont, Eleanor was born in New Jersey to Lillian and Judson Fink. She was raised in Union, New Jersey and graduated from Union High School in 1953 where she was an active member of the Nightingales, Junior Congress, and Choir.
She graduated as a Registered Nurse from Orange Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in New Jersey. From there her career began where she spent most of her career at Cordis in New Jersey and Florida. Nursing also enabled her to see the world as she spent some of her career being a traveling nurse. Ellie had a great love for travel and toured the world as much as she could visiting much of the United States as well as China, Africa, and Russia among others. She was an active member of her church, Woodlands Lutheran Church, where she gave back to the community and made many lifelong friends.
Eleanor was predeceased by her parents, Judson Joseph and Lillian Gertrude Fink, and her brother, Judson Joseph Fink, Jr. She is survived by her nephew and his wife, Judson Joseph III and Cynthia M. Fink; a niece and her husband Cynthia A. Fink and Jonathan Sullivan; a niece and her wife Jennifer Fink and Lisa Porcello; along with many friends. A memorial service will be planned at a later date. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Davie, Florida at a later time in 2023
