IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Eleanor
Crivelli
October 24, 1926 – January 15, 2019
Eleanor Crivelli left this world unexpectedly on Jan. 15, 2019. Born in Brooklyn, NY on Oct. 24, 1926, she was the 9th of 10 children of Fannie and Alfonse Crivelli.
She enjoyed listening to music, especially to the songs of Frank Sinatra. Eleanor was often quoted as saying that she was "the original bobby soxer". In the 1940's, she contributed to the war effort by working, sometimes seven days a week, assembling walkie-talkie radios for a defense contractor. Later she was employed as a proof reader, a job she held for over thirty years.
As a single mother, Eleanor often took her son, Vincent, to many slot car races, resulting in many trophy wins. She relocated to S.I., NY in the mid 1980's and then to Clermont in 1999. Living in King's Ridge for 18 years, she was often seen lounging at the pool, chatting with fellow residents. Her "hobby" was shopping on QVC; they had no better promoter than Eleanor.
Her presence will be profoundly missed. When you think of Eleanor, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short; it should be lived to the fullest.
She leaves behind her son, Vincent, his wife, Kathy, and grandson, Joseph.
A private memorial service will be held at a future date.
