Elda Venham Rogers of Winter Park—formerly of Clermont, FL—passed away April 28, 2022 surrounded by her husband of 65 years, Bill, her daughter Penny, and son Billy.

Elda was born June 6, 1937 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Virginia and Bill Venham and had two sisters, Ardythe and Lana. The family eventually moved south to Miami, Florida where Elda spent her formative years and young adulthood, working towards her career as a dental assistant until she settled into her most cherished job of all: being a loving and doting mother. As a parent, she was an active, enthusiastic volunteer with Girl Scouts, sports teams, and various school activities and continued to be present and involved especially when it came to church. Elda and Bill were devoted members of First United Methodist Church of Clermont where they worked as greeters for many years. Her faith carried her through her over 10-year battle with cancer until the day came when the good Lord called her home.

Elda is survived by her husband, Bill Rogers, daughter, Penny Caruso (Flip), son, Billy Rogers (Jeanette), six grandchildren, Philip P Caruso III (Bridget), Matthew Caruso (Larissa), Daniella Caruso, Lauren Rogers, Will Rogers, Caroline Rogers, and one great_granddaughter, Isabella Caruso. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Ardythe Bly, as well as her nieces and nephew.

There will be a graveside service on Monday, May 16, at 10:30am at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Gotha, FL.
