Eileen E. Patterson, 86, Clermont, passed away September 9, 2013 at home with her family at her side. She was born January 5, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY daughter of Elizabeth Maxwell & Lee Roy Ruffe. She worked as a telephone operator and was a homemaker prior to locating to Clermont in 1971 from Staten Island. Locally she & her late husband William John Patterson were proprietors of County Line Dixie Bar on Highway 33 south of Groveland & Town & Country Liquor in Clermont for 27 years. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Her husband preceded her in death in 1977 as did her daughter Donna Hazin in August of this year & siblings Lee Roy Ruffe, Jr., John Ruffe, Gene Ruffe & Jean Sweeney. Surviving are her children Kathleen (Allan) Feilitz, Kissimmee; Debbie (Benny) Sargent, Mountain Rest, SC; Colleen (Edward) Fitzgerald, Breese, IL & Lori (John) Toth, Eileen Patterson & Joseph Patterson all of Clermont; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren & siblings Bob (Mary) Ruffe, Billy (Marie) Ruffe & Patricia Hallerin.
Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Patterson will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, celebrated by Very Reverend Robert E. Webster. Burial will follow in the family plot in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at the funeral home. BECKER FUNERAL HOME, 806 W.
