IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Eileen Mary
Dubuss
July 29, 1962 – October 20, 2024
Eileen Mary Dubuss was born on July 29, 1962 and passed away on October 20, 2024 at the home of her parents, Frank and Bernadette Dubuss, of Kings Ridge. Eileen was born in Brooklyn, N.Y, and moved with the family to Manalapan, NJ in the summer of 1967. She attended the Manalapan-Englishtown Schools for grades K-8 and Manalapan HS for grades 9-12. After attending Douglas College at Rutgers University for one year, Eileen enlisted in the United State Navy and was stationed in San Diego where she continued her college education, majoring in filmmaking. She was assigned to a prestigious helicopter squadron where her main responsibilities involved repairing the radar in the Sikorsky helicopters.
Eileen returned home to Manalapan after her discharge and became an employee of the NY Telephone Company. While she was extremely successful in her position as an installer and soon received a promotion to a supervisory position, she made the decision to move to Virginia Beach for a different lifestyle. When her parents retired to Florida, Eileen soon followed and became a paralegal, working at the prestigious Moffitt Cancer Center and Shriners Hospital for children.
In her journey through life, Eileen touched the lives of so many folks who became lifelong friends. She enjoyed volunteering her time to many worthwhile positions including Court appointed Child Advocate and volunteering at a home for aides babies. Eileen was a vegetarian because of her love for animals, particularly cats, and spent endless time and money caring for them over the years.
Her extra curricular activities included basketball and track and field in High School. However, she was best known as the first girl in Manalapan Township to play Little League Baseball. Her love of baseball continued throughout her life, and she was an avid Mets fan.
This multi-faceted woman was also a writer and a fan of old movies, particularly Gone With the Wind. She left an extensive musical and movie collection.
Eileen is survived by her parents and her brother, Michael, and nieces, Megan, Caitlin and Katherine Dubuss, and nephews Christopher and Daniel Dubuss. She was predeceased by her brother, Thomas, and her grandparents
Eileen fought a valiant fight against cancer from December of last year until her death. At her wishes, there will be no funeral service. It was her desire to be buried under a tree in a park or forest. When her parents are able to make these arrangements, her friends and family will be notified. If you wish to honor her memory, please make a donation to an animal organization of your choosing.
