Edward Carl Williams, 90, of Davenport, FL, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 26, 2024, surrounded by family. He was born in Hammond, IN, on November 5, 1934, to Gertrude and Lawrence Williams.  It was in Hammond, IN, he met and married his high school sweetheart, Donna Nell Humphrey, after serving in the Korean War. Eventually moving from Indiana to Hoffman Estates, IL, in 1978, and finally retiring to Davenport, FL, in 2000.

Ed's greatest joy in life came from spending time with his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Donna; adored children, Michael (Heidi), James, Kathleen (Lori) and Thomas (Laurel); 8 cherished grandchildren; and 7 treasured great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, and his dear son, Mark (Judy).

The family will receive friends Friday, January 10, 2025, from 10 until 11am at Becker Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery at 12:30pm.
