Obituary

Edward William Riker Jr., a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great- Grandfather, and proud veteran, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and dedication to family.

Born in Queens, New York, Edward was the beloved son of Edward and Dorothy Riker. He grew up alongside his brothers, Paul Riker (Mary Ann) and Donald Riker (Sally).

Edward proudly served his country in the United States Navy and Reserves, an experience that reflected his strong sense of duty and commitment. Following his military service, he pursued higher education at Hofstra University, where he laid the foundation for a successful career. He went on to work in the truck leasing and consulting industry, where he was respected for his knowledge, integrity, and work ethic.

He was the loving husband of Patricia Riker, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories and unwavering partnership. Together, they raised three children: Andrea Pomerleau (Jocelyn), Nicole McMahon, and David Riker (Dana). Edward was a proud and devoted father who cherished every moment spent with his family.

His greatest joy came from his growing family. He is survived by his six grandchildren: Olivia Torres (Daniel), Sophia Sesteaga (Jeronimo), Ella Riker, Zachary Cary, Wyatt Cary, and Caroline Cary; and his two great-grandchildren, Alexander Torres and Harley Sesteaga. He took immense pride in watching each generation flourish.

Edward will be remembered for his kindness, strength, and the deep love he had for his family. His presence will be dearly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
