Edward (Ed) Thomas Dauernheim, 67, passed away peacefully on the morning of
November 18, 2018. Though he had many jobs over his lifetime such as a warehouse manager
and a truck driver, he always made sure everyone knew that his most important roles were as a
husband to Cynthia Dauernheim and a father to Christine Edmunds and Edward Dauernheim,
Jr. Edward transitioned with the knowledge that his hard work and strong efforts resulted in the
completion of his primary goal: to guarantee the security and happiness of his family and to be
appreciated greatly by his loved ones.
Throughout his life, Ed faced many challenges, though most could never tell because
he never let these obstacles slow him down. He worked the same job for over 30 years to
provide for his family and enjoyed going with them to theme parks such as Disney and
Universal Studios. Ed especially enjoyed music of the 1950's, Marvel and DC superhero movies,
and most of all the New York Yankees, which he made a strong connection to growing up in
New York City. As a young adult, he enlisted in the armed forces as a member of the Navy.
Edward Dauernheim was a fiercely loyal individual. He never complained about any of
the difficulties he faced throughout his life and always pushed forward. Ed never let anything
stop him from having fun and enjoying himself (or a good meal). He leaves behind a legacy of
strength, perseverance, and a reputation as a family man.
