Edward Ahlers, 92, Clermont, passed away January 13, 2011 at Quality Health Care of Orange County in Winter Garden, FL. He was born February 28, 1918 in Brooklyn, NY son of Dietrich Ahlers and Anna Catherine Topp Ahlers. He served in the US Army during WWII and was a supervisor for the New York City Transit Authority. He was a local resident since 2000 from Pembroke Pines, FL. His wife Marion Ahlers preceded him in death in 1999 as did his brother Richard Ahlers. Surviving are his daughters Geri Heath & Patricia (John) Dunkerton all of Clermont & son Edward G.
