Obituary

Dorothy Ann Duplaga, of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, born September 26, 1923, passed away peacefully in Clermont, FL on April 12, 2022. Originally from Reedsburg, WI, Dorothy Ann lived in Ohio for 75 years before relocating recently to Florida.  She was an 80-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, serving as Worthy Matron of Falls Chapter #245 and as Deputy Grand Matron of District #2 in Ohio. As a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cuyahoga Falls, Dorothy Ann volunteered in the church office and was involved in the Methodist Women's Circles.  Dorothy Ann was a founding member of the Akron Chapter of Sweet Adelines International and avid bridge player, participating in many bridge clubs.

Dorothy Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Edmund Duplaga and her brother John Burdick.  She is survived by her sister-in-law Carol Burdick and by her children and their spouses, Tom Duplaga of Cuyahoga Falls, Jim and Pamm Duplaga of Cape Coral, FL, Jean and Doug Flinn of Clermont, FL, and Judy Duplaga of Oakwood, OH.  Dorothy Ann was beloved by her grandchildren and their spouses, Beth and Steve Kreiner, Kevin and Michelle Duplaga, Melissa and Charles Maris, Scott and Leah Duplaga, Ryan Flinn, Heather and Judd Bean, and Kelley Flinn.  Dorothy Ann delighted in spending time with her seven great-grandchildren Ellie Duplaga, Eleanor Maris, Jamey Kreiner, Chase Duplaga, Micah Duplaga, Braven Bean, and Margaret Maris.   She will be dearly missed by her family and the many friends she made over the 98 years of her beautiful life.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the Community of Faith United Methodist Church, 9120 Teacher Lane, Davenport, FL 33897.
