Obituary
Doris Louise Seidel, 89, of Clermont, FL, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017 with dignity and grace. Born on April 9, 1928 in Orlando, FL to the proud parents of Whittington Christopher & Lelia R. (Caldwell) Wren. She was a former member of Reformation Lutheran Church in Orlando. On June 7, 1946, she was united in marriage to her husband, Alvin William Seidel for 69 wonderful years. Doris was devoted to her family and supportive of her husband's military career. They moved back to Central Florida in 1969 and then settled in Clermont in 2000. Doris loved to travel and truly enjoyed life. She always looked forward to playing bridge with her friends. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings and her beloved husband, Alvin Seidel. Survivors include her loving daughters: Frances Cowley of Clermont and Linda (Gary) Martin of Pace, FL; her grandchildren: Sherry (Chris) Schwehm, Lisa (Daniel) Valladares, Christopher (Sara) Cowley and Gary (Kristina) Martin, Jr.; and her amazing greatgrandchildren: Tyler, Nathan, Morgan, Ben, Summer & Samantha; her brother Guy (Greta) Wren and her sister Gloria (Bill) Casey. A Celebration of her life will be held Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 11:30 AM at Becker Funeral Home in Clermont, FL with burial to follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Becker Funeral Home, 806 W. Minneola Avenue, Clermont, FL 34711.
