Doris Louise Pike, 92, Clermont, passed away November 6, 2011 at the Mike Conley Hospice House. She was born November 8, 1918 in Kansas City, Kansas, daughter of James Singleton & Pearl Johnson Singleton. She retired from JC Penny as a customer service representative after 25 years. She was a local resident since 2001 from Niceville, FL, formerly from Shawnee Mission, KS, and was a member of South Lake Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles H. Pike in 2004 and daughter Linda Diane Pike in 1958. Surviving is her daughter Susan (Barnett) Warren, Winter Garden; grandchildren Richard (Jamie) Wright, St. Joseph, IL & Christy (Cindy) Wright, Champaign, IL; great-grandchildren Tyler, Jordan & Charley Wright & siblings Bob (Jane) Singleton, Lafayette, CA & June Wilson, Overland Park, KS.



The funeral service for Doris Pike will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 11, 2011 at South Lake Presbyterian Church, 131 Chestnut Street, Clermont, FL 34711. Reverend Shawn Coons, Pastor will officiate. A reception will follow in the church parlor. Burial will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Doris's name to the church at the above address.
