Obituary
Doris C. Howell, age 83, Howey-In-The-Hills, passed away October 16, 2015 at Cornerstone Hospice House in Tavares. She was born November 25, 1931 in Eden, NC daughter of Mary Gauldin & William Henry Cox. She was an active member of Real Life Christian Church in Clermont. An avid sports enthusiast, she enjoyed watching the Orlando Magic, Atlanta Braves, FSU, Tampa Bay Buccaneers & the Dallas Cowboys as well as Orlando City soccer & golf – often watching more than one at a time!
Surviving are her daughters Janet Weatherlow and Sharon Drake of Lake county, FL and step-son Dee Howell, Orlando, FL; (6) grandchildren, (7) great-grandchildren, and (3) great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Barbara Lewis, NC and Christine Huffman, VA.
ARRANGEMENTS ARE:
The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday,October 24, 2015 in the Becker Chapel with Pastor John Wilson from Real Life Christian Church officiating. Following the service friends are invited to a reception offering light refreshments in the hospitality room at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution in her name to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778.
