Obituary

Doris M. Dunn, 90, Groveland, passed away November 3, 2018, from Pancreatic Cancer while celebrating her 90th birthday with 250 neighbors, all four surviving children, four grandchildren, and a very special nephew and his wife. She was born July 31, 1928 in South Orange, New Jersey, the daughter of Earl and Margaret Perrine. On May 12, 1946, she was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life Lawrence H. Dunn. Doris was a U.S.A.F. military wife, traveling around the world while raising seven children. She was a Brownie Leader, library volunteer, room mother, switchboard operator, and Commissary Cashier back in the days when the cashier had to know the price of every item in the store. Doris was a member of St John Vianney parish, Orlando, for over 40 years. There she was a Eucharist Minister, member of the Women's Council, and bereavement committee volunteer. Most recently she was a member of Blessed Sacrament parish in Clermont.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 54 years, CWO4 Lawrence H. Dunn, daughters Barbara Ann Dunn, Christine Schaeffer, and Lynn Marie Lowrey, and two grandchildren, Susan and Joey. Doris is survived by her son Lawrence Dunn II (Margaret) of Perry, Florida, and daughters Kathleen Rasmussen, Norman, Oklahoma; Laurie Harrison (Jeff), Ocala, Florida; and Mary (Mark) Malys, Groveland. Doris had 13 grandchildren: Kari, Rusty, Forrest, Robin, Nancy, Lauren , Nathan, Neil, Lawrence III, Stacy, Pamela, David, Anthony, and 21 great- grandchildren: Sage, Cole, Riley, Rylan, Delaney, Jacob, Aubrie, Heather-Lee, Jessica, Emma, John-Henry, Bobbi-Jo, Christopher-John, Amelia, Hannah, Hunter, Clara, Jordan, Jayden, Alexia, and Karina. She had three siblings: Peggy Burns, Earlene Mohr, and Donald (Tamlin) Perrine.

Mass of the Resurrection for Doris will be held at 2:30 PM on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 720 12th Street, Clermont, celebrated by Reverend Roy Eco. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Gotha. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, November 7th at the Becker Funeral Home. BECKER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 806 W.
